According to my midwives, I’m at the point in my pregnancy where daily consumption of raspberry leaf tea is highly recommended. It’s known as being generally good for feminine health and acts as a uterine toner so is thought to be beneficial for labor. As someone who’s planning a natural childbirth, I will take all the help I can get and I can totally get behind a daily dose of iced tea.
I love making mine by tossing a couple tea bags in a large jar (with a lid) filling it with water and leaving it out in the sun all day to steep. I feel like I’m getting a nice hit of positive solar energy whenever I drink my sun-brewed tea.
To make this cooling raspberry leaf tea tonic, I simply added some fresh lemon juice, raspberries and a slice of lemon to an iced glass of raspberry leaf tea. It’s a lovely way to start the day or cool off after an afternoon walk with the pup.
